The Gladiator Jackpot slot machine has two types of bonus rounds: Gladiator Jackpot and Coliseum Bonus. You need at least three symbols of the corresponding bonus game type to activate each round.

The Gladiator Jackpot Bonus round is triggered by three Wild symbols that landed on the second, third and fourth reels. In the full version of the slot you compete for the jackpot, while in the trial version you get rewarding payouts that directly depend on the bet per line. A new window opens where you can see the gladiator helmets appearing one by one - bronze, silver and gold. Each helmet earns you a random prize in credits. If all nine helmets are gold, you get the jackpot instead of the bonus payout.

The Coliseum Bonus round is triggered by three, four and five Scatter symbols that hit any position on the game screen. After collecting your payout you go to a new screen to the section divided into four levels. At each level you can select a certain bonus for the next round of free spins.

The very bottom row of symbols determines the number of free spins you get. Possible choices: 4, 5, 7, 10 and 12. The second row of symbols determines the multiplier to the winnings during the free spins. Available multipliers - х1, х2 and х3. The third row of symbols determines an additional Scatter. It will be any of the regular symbols, except for the portraits of the emperor and the empress. The fourth row determines, which of the portraits will become the additional Wild symbol during the free spins. Use special buttons to move between the rows of symbols. Their functions:

Three, four or five Scatter symbols hit during the free spins will not earn you another round of the Coliseum Bonus. But if the icon with the emperor appears on the third reel, it will win you 3 free spins.

If during the Coliseum Bonus round the Gladiator Jackpot Bonus round was activated, the winnings earned for the helmets are not multiplied. They are simply added to the payout for the last spin and credited to your account.

Symbols and multipliers of the Gladiator Jackpot slot machine

The Gladiator Jackpot slot machine themed to movies features two special symbols – Wild and Scatter. All other symbols earn you only coins/credits. If the Wild symbol (a picture of the gladiator helmet) hits the line together with identical symbols, it replaces the symbols that is required to complete the combination. It appears only on the second, third and fourth reels, so you cannot collect the combination that would consists only of the Wild symbols.

The gladiator helmet also operates as the bonus symbol. If you collect three of these pictures anywhere on the second, third and fourth reels, you will gain access to the Gladiator Jackpot Bonus round. Scatter features the venue for the gladiator contests – the Coliseum. It appears on all reels and earns you the payout and the Coliseum Bonus round. The multiplier for the Scatter symbols:

Regular symbols are divided into playing card symbols and the portraits of the main characters from the film with the same name - "Gladiator". The highest-paying symbols are the icons with the portraits of the emperor and the empress. Two, three, four and five portraits of the empress earn you the following multipliers for the line bets - 7, 50, 250 and 1,000. The same number of the icons featuring the emperor gets you such multipliers as 8, 75, 500 and 5,000. Other symbols form a winning combination when at least three of them land in one line. The multipliers you win for three, four and five symbols:

• A counsellor - 25, 75 and 350
• A knight and a man in the head wrap - 20, 60 and 250
• King and Ace - 15, 50 and 200
• Queen and Jack - 10, 40 and 120
• 9 and 10 - 8, 20 and 75

Double-up Game

In the Gladiator Jackpot slot you can bet virtually any win in the double-up game. The only exceptions are the payouts earned when the Auto Start function is enabled and during the Gladiator Jackpot Bonus round. Click the Gamble button to open a new window with the playing card in the centre.

Your task is to guess the colour of the card to double up your bet. If you select the wrong colour, the amount at stake is lost and you return to the main game. If your guess is correct, you have two options: take the prize and return to the main screen or continue the double-up.

You can guess the colour until the amount of winnings reaches as much as 1,000 credits. This limit is set by the game developer - Playtech. You can take the win anytime before the colour of the card is selected by clicking Collect.

How to Play the Gladiator Jackpot

You can play the Gladiator Jackpot slot machine by Playtech in the introductory mode. Once the slot is loaded, a certain amount of credits appears in your account (it depends on the value of a coin from 750 to 1,999.99).

First, you have to set the value of a game coin. You can find the column saying “1 =” on the left side of the control panel. Click this button to open the menu with the available coin values – 0.01, 0.05, 0.1, 0.25, 0.5, 1, 2 and 5. The line bet and the total bet depend on this choice. In the Bet Per Line window you can change the bet per line from 1 to 10 coins. The amount of the payout for a wining combination depends on the bet size.

You can configure paylines in the Lines section. The Gladiator Jackpot slot machine features 25 paylines in total. You can decrease their number if you wish. The more active paylines you have, the more winning combinations will be counted at the end of the spin. Click the Bet Max button to automatically increase the bet per line and the number of lines to the maximum and launch the reels.

The Total Bet – a total bet per spin is formed based on the Bet Per Line and Lines values. Actually it is the price of one spin of the reels. If you do not have a sufficient amount of credits in your account to launch the spin, the game will notify you and invite you to lower the bet.

To get the prize you need a winning combination that consists only of identical symbols. The icons are counted from left to right. The second condition is that the symbols must land on the adjacent reels. The exception to these rules is the Scatter symbol depicting the Coliseum. It awards the prize for appearing at any place of the game screen.

The reward for the combination of regular symbols is calculated using the formula: the bet per line is multiplied by the factor which corresponds to the combination. The Scatter symbols are counted using another formula: the multiplier for a combination applied to the total bet. If the active payline contains several winning combinations, only the biggest combo pays. The payout for the winning combination that includes Scatter is added to the winning combination formed with regular pictures.

Click the Spin button to launch the reels. When the spin is over, the payout is calculated. You can bet this amount in the double-up game or add to your account and continue to spin the reels by clicking the Spin button. Another way to start the reels is to click the Auto Start button and launch automatic spins. 10 auto spins are set by default but you can increase or decrease their number by the "-" and "+" button. When the Auto Start function is enabled, the double-up game is unavailable.
