European Roulette Gold is a virtual casino table game by Microgaming that you can play for free online. It uses the numbers 0 to 36 and you can make many different bets including some bets that are normally only available in French Roulette and relate to the position of the numbers on the roulette wheel. The chips have the denominations 1, 5, 10, 50 and 100 and you can use the autoplay option to spin the reel automatically using your existing bets.

How to Play European Roulette Gold
European Roulette Gold is fairly easy to play, you need to select a chip and place it on one or more individual numbers, you can also place it on the lines between the numbers to bet on groups of 2, 3, 4 or 6 numbers. If you are unsure exactly where to place your chips, don´t worry the pointer will highlight the numbers that you will be betting on when you hover over the lines. These inside bets have payouts that range from 35 to 1 for individual numbers to 5 to 1 for 6 numbers (a line bet).
Outside bets can be made on groups of 12 numbers by placing your chips at the end of one of the columns to bet on all of the numbers in that column, or you can put your chips in the 1st 12, 2nd 12 or 3rd 12 betting areas to bet on the numbers 1 to 12, 13 to 24 and 25 to 26. The payout for these bets is 2 to 1. Placing your chips on red, black, odd, even, 1 to 18 or 19 to 36 payout 1 to 1.
This version also shows the numbers as they appear on the roulette wheel and enable you to make additional bets on a specific number and its neighbours on the wheel. If you click on the words Les Voisins Du Zero, Tiers Du Cylindre or Les Orphelins your chips will automatically be placed on the betting area that relate to the numbers that are included in these neighbour bets. If you switch the control panel to expert mode you can open the layout popup and choose from many different call bets, which are shown on the betting area. Once you are happy with your bets, you can save the layout, return to the game and select that layout from the popup on the left and your chips will automatically be placed in the betting area.
To start the ball rolling around the roulette wheel, press the spin button. The dealer will say "no more bets please" and once the ball has stopped spinning you will see a close up of where it has landed in the top right of the screen where you can also see the 10 previous winning numbers. The dealer will also advise you of the winning number and any winnings will be credited to your balance. Press the rebet button and you can then choose to keep the same bets or clear them to make new ones.
Additional buttons on the control panel will open the game settings, switch between the regular and expert controls and show you the statistics of your gameplay. In the top right hand corner you can see the local time, use the speaker to turn game sounds on or off, or use the ? to view detailed information about the game.
