Game rules of Treasure Island

The free version of the video slot by Quickspin uses in-game credits as a game currency. But in all other aspects, the slot fully corresponds to the original.

The number of active paylines of the slot is fixed at 40. The only adjustable game parameter is the total bet for a spin. You can configure the bet values using the up and down buttons in the Total Bet section within the limits from 0.5 to 100 credits. You can also click Total bet and select the necessary bet from the pop-up list of values. 

The Balance section displays the current number of credits in your total account and the Win information section shows the winnings for the latest spin.

Starting the slot

A button displaying the clockwise rotation starts one spin of the slot with the configured settings. If desired, you can enable the option to launch spins using the keyboard — with the space bar. This option is disabled by default.

The auto game menu is opened by the button with the image of two arrows, found on the bottom right of the user interface. The menu enables you to adjust the number of auto spins in the range from 10 to 1,000 spins and set limits for the loss and single win in the Advanced tab. The Stop button disables the auto game.

The icon "i" opens the help menu. It has all the necessary information of the game process, including general rules of the slot, the payline pattern, description of special symbols, bonus games and bonus round, as well as two paytables for both the main game and the round of free spins. When the total bet per spin changes, payouts in the table are automatically recalculated and are displayed in credits.

A winning combination in the slot is three or more regular symbols on neighbouring reels. A combination of pictures must begin from the first reel and land on an active payline.

Symbols and multipliers of the Treasure Island video slot

All symbols of the slot are subdivided into two groups: ordinary and special. Ordinary symbols perform the usual function, forming combinations and earning you rewards. Special symbols differ from them by unique features, as well as the principle of landing in the game window.

Special symbols

The Scatter symbol is represented by a compass with a moving arrow. Landing on the first, third and fifth reels of the game window at the same time, it activates a bonus game with the choice of the Bonus Pick position.

Stacked Wild is a treasure chest. These pictures are called adjacent Wild symbols. They land in the game window vertically in whole groups within one reel. The way these Wild symbols land significantly raises your chances to get a win, as well as its size.

The main feature of the Wild symbol is its universality. It is able to replace almost all pictures of the slot when forming a winning combination. The only exceptions are Scatter and Barrel Wild symbols. The image of a treasure chest itself earns you 0.6, 2 and 10 credits for a combination of 3, 4 and 5 pictures.

Barrel Wild is the second type of the Wild symbol. It is presented in the form of a barrel with the TNT letters and is also able to replace all standard pictures of the slot when forming a winning combination. By landing two or more Barrel Wild symbols in the game window you activate the Pirate Attack bonus option.

Ordinary symbols

Ordinary symbols of the slot are pictures with playing card denominations and various characters from Treasure Island. In the main game, a combination of 3, 4 or 5 symbols earns you the following rewards in credits:

1. 10, J, Q and K — 0.06, 0.2 and 1
2. A — 0.1, 0.3 and 1.2
3. The female pirate — 0.2, 0.4 and 1.5
4. The old man — 0.5, 1 and 1.5
5. Captain John Silver —0.5, 1 and 2
6. Captain Flint — 0.5, 1 and 2

Pirate Attack

It is activated when two or more barrel images with TNT letters land in the game window. Then, the game screen becomes transparent, with the exception of Barrel Wild symbols, and the ship shown behind shoots on barrels.

If a cannonball hits a barrel, several boxes around it are filled with Wild symbols. If it does not — the Wild symbol fills only one box hit by the cannonball. In total, the ship produces two or three shots per activation of the feature.

The Bonus Pick bonus game

The game starts when three Scatter symbols land on the first, third and fifth reels of the slot game window. The landed images of compasses become positions with hidden values. You select only one position and earn one of three types of rewards:

1. A payout in credits
2. An activation of the Treasure Hunt bonus game
3. A launch of the bonus round with free spins

When earning a payout in credits, the bonus game is closed and the received credits are transferred to your current account.

Bonus round of free spins

The bonus round with free spins is designed in two consecutive stages. The first is the Island Hop Bonus game, in which you can get additional spins and various bonuses, and the second is actual start of free spins.

Island Hop Bonus

The bonus game is a choice of positions in the form of islands. For each revealed position, you earn one of the following bonuses of the round with free spins:

1. Super Wilds — the Stacked Wild symbols now land in groups within two neighbouring reels
2. Barrels locked — fixes all Wild symbols that landed when Pirate Attack was activated until the end of the round
3. Extra Wilds — images of Jim, John Silver and Captain Flint turn into Wild symbols for the round with free spins. The bonus for each of the images is played separately
4. Free spins — adding of extra free spins. By default, when the round is activated, you have six free spins
5. Win — ordinary prize in credits

If you open a position with the words Start Free Spins, the bonus game is closed and free spins are launched.

The launch of free spins

Free spins start in the number and with those bonuses that were won in the Island Hop Bonus game. When free spins are triggered, a separate paytable is used, the values of which are less in relation to the mode of the main game. A combination of 3, 4 and 5 symbols in the bonus round with free spins earns the following reward in credits:

At the end of the round, all prizes won are added up and transferred to your main account.

The Treasure Hunt Bonus Game

This bonus game provides you with a choice of positions in the form of places on the island, marked with a red cross. Each time you reveal a position earns you a guaranteed rewards in credits.

If you see a position with the Treasure word, a mini-game starts where you are to select one of the three chests. Each of the chests also earns you a guaranteed prize, but already significantly larger. At the end of the bonus game, all credits are transferred to your current account.
