Aztec Slots Slot by Games OS Review
Aztec Slots is an online slot game themed to the Aztec culture. The game screen consists of 15 fields in the classical 3x5 format including 5 reels and 9 adjustable paylines. Special symbols in the game feature the Scatter, the Wild and the Bonus symbol. The slot also features a theme-related multilevel bonus game and an additional free spins mode. You can win a maximum of 3,300 credits for a winning combo.
Rules in Aztec Slots
Aztec Slots is a trial version of a real game. It is fully identical to the original except for the use of in-game currency.
Setting the bet level
The slot has two game values by which you can set your total bet per spin. The total bet is the amount of credits that pays for one spin.
The number of active lines is selected by the Bet one button in the range of 1 to 9. You can also click on one of the switches with the preselected number of lines at the edges of the game screen.
Adjust your bet per line in the range of 0.05 to 2.2 credits by clicking on +/- buttons in the Value menu. A higher value will increase your winnings each time winning combos are formed.
The cost of the spin is calculated by multiplying the values that you have selected. Minimum total bet is 0.45 credits.
You can see two icons with a speaker and four arrows in the lower left corner of the screen. The speaker icon lets you enable or disable the sound effects, and the arrows icon lets you enter the full-screen mode. You will also find the Balance tab in the upper right corner of the user's interface. When activated, a little info block will pop up, showing your current game balance.
Starting the game
Click on the Spin button to spin the reels one single time. This is when the amount that you have preset for your total bet will be debited from your account.
You can launch one single spin with the maximum number of lines by clicking on the 'Max bet' button in the very centre of the control panel. The button's function does not interfere with your line bet.
Click Auto spin to activate the autoplay mode. An appropriate window will pop up, where you can select the number of spins from 5 to 100 by using the +/- buttons. The Ok and No buttons will confirm your selection or exit the autoplay mode. You can stop the autogame by clicking on the Stop button.
The info menu contains the paytable, the payline pattern and the description of special symbols. You can open this menu by clicking on the red 'View payout' button in the lower left corner of the screen. Unfortunately the paytable does not make any automatic calculations with the values, it only displays payouts as multipliers for your bets per line.
A winning combination in the slot is an alignment of several icons on the reels horizontally, left to right starting from the leftmost reel. Presence of an active game line is also a mandatory requirement. Scatters may drop at random.
Symbols and multipliers in Aztec Slots
A line bet equal to one credit will be used when describing payouts for combos. This value was chosen due to its universality, which will make the calculations easier. For example, to calculate the payouts with the maximum bet, all you have to do is multiply the quoted values by 2.2.
The slot features special symbols, each one of them performs special functions that will let you earn or increase your reward.
The Bonus symbol depicts an Aztec pyramid. Three or more of such pictures on an active payline will trigger a multilevel Trail of Supreme Bonus Game.
The Scatter symbol shows a picture of an Aztec chief. When 4 or 5 pictures of an Aztec chief land anywhere on the game screen at random, they trigger an additional round of 3 or 30 free spins respectively.
The Wild symbol depicts a statue of a predator with the word "Wild" on it. The symbol is capable of replacing any icons on the slot except for the Scatter bonus symbol, by itself it gives no reward.
The slot's regular symbols depict all kinds of ornaments and ethnic items typical to the lifestyle of the Aztecs. Some of the symbols may create a combo only out of 3, 4 or 5 units. These are the winnings that they pay in credits:
- A golden disc with four arrows — 2, 10 and 40
- A rectangular-shaped gold-rimmed green stone — 3, 15 and 50
- A vase — 4, 20 and 70
- Feathers — 5, 30 and 100
The symbols listed below may form a combination of 2, 3, 4 or 5 icons. They earn you the following rewards:
- A golden disc with a green face — 2, 6, 35 and 150
- A golden piece with an eye — 2, 7, 40 and 200
- An ornament with a snake devouring its own tail — 2, 8, 45 and 300
- A statue of a fish — 2, 10, 50 and 350
- A towel with an ornament — 3, 15, 50 and 500
- A pot — 4, 20, 70 and 1000
- A gold coin on a rope — 5, 25, 80 and 1200
- A dragon's head — 6, 30, 90 and 1500 This is the highest-paying symbol on the slot. 5 pictures with a dragon's head pay 3,300 credits when you play with the maximum bet
Bonus round with free spins
The bonus round automatically triggers 3 or 30 free spins, depending on how many Scatters landed on the game screen when the mode was triggered. When the picture of an Aztec chief drops on the reels the second time, it will not increase the amount of free spins.
Once free spins are completed, the additional mode is over and all of the credits are added to your current account.
Trail of Supreme Bonus Game
Trail of Supreme Bonus Game is a multilevel bonus game where you only have one attempt to claim the prize. Luckily, the game is launched quite often, so your chances to win are pretty high.
The first two levels consist of mazes. Your objective is to choose one of the possible ways to reach the centre. You have three buttons of three colours looking like gemstones — yellow, blue and green. Besides moving on to the next level, if you choose the right path you can win a small amount in credits as well.
The third level contains three small fields, each of them is divided into four hidden positions. To claim the main prize you have to guess the positions of the pictures in each of the fields. A small amount of winnings in credits is added to your account after each position that you guess correctly.
If you traverse the entire bonus game successfully, you get a large number of credits added to your account. This is when the game is over and you move on to the regular mode.
Aztec Slots features quality graphics, small yet frequent multipliers, free spins and a very interesting themed multilevel game.
