How to place bets and spin the reels
You will initially get 9,999.99 credits for playing the game. This is the main in-game currency, although it will not be used anywhere in the game. All bets and payouts in Dragon Margin will be indicated and calculated in coins. Each coin will cost 0.01 credits. This value cannot be changed. Your current balance will be displayed in the centre of the control panel on the bottom. This is where the amount of credits and coins will be displayed in turns.
By default, Dragon Margin provides 243 active paylines. It will be important to you because winning combinations will be produced with the symbols of one kind landed on neighbouring reels. Another condition for a combo to be successful is to start at the leftmost reel.
You can change the number of active paylines. This can be done on the left side of the screen by using the special scale. The scale contains five values — 3, 9, 27, 81 and 243. Click on the appropriate figure to reduce the number of fields that will be involved in forming the combos. For example, this is what it will mean to you when you set three active paylines:
- All fields on the first reel will be involved in forming winning combinations
- The rest of the reels will only have the central symbols valid
- Other values for producing successful combos will remain unchanged
Nine active paylines imply two first reels being fully active in the game. With 243 active paylines all reels will display three symbols each. You can also change the number of full-fledged reels right on the game screen. Click right on the reels to do just that.
Your total bet will depend on the number of active paylines. You will come up with its exact value by multiplying the line bet by your total bet per line. Your bet for each line will directly depend on the number of paylines:
- With three active paylines — 1 coin
- With full activation of two reels — 3 coins
- With 27 paylines — 7 coins
- With full activation of four reels — 15 coins
If all 243 paylines are active, your bet for each one of them will be 25 coins.
Dragon Margin features six levels of bets. Each one of them is differentiated by the factor that your line bet will be multiplied by. The first level has the multiplier of 1, the second — 2, the third — 5, the fourth — 10 and the fifth — 20. These levels will be displayed as a scale to the right of the reels. The game features yet another bet multiplier of 50.
You can set it in 2 different ways. One way you can do it is click on the figure with your total bet in the Bet section. Your bet level will change with each click. It will be displayed on the multiplier scale as well. If it does not contain the Bet/Lines sign, it means that the maximum bet level has been set.
Another way is to set the highest bet by clicking on the Max Bet button. This method may not be suitable for everybody, since this click will launch the reels right away.
By clicking on the Start button you will launch a spin with your preset bet value. During the spin this button will turn into the Stop button. By clicking on it you can stop the reels prematurely.
In the lower left corner you will find the Auto Start button. By clicking on it you will launch the autospin mode, where you will not have to make any separate clicks. Autospins will follow one after another. By clicking Auto Start once again you will stop the autospins and go back to the regular spins. Please keep in mind that during the autospins you will not be able to change your bet value or the number of active paylines.
Settings
In the lower left corner you will see the button with three lines. By clicking on it you will open the list of buttons that will let you set certain options. The Mute button is on the top of the list. If you tick it, the sound effects in Dragon Margin will be disabled.
The rest of the tabs will let you do the following:
- To set the speed of the reels (Reel Spin)
- To set the hot keys (Hotkeys)
- To view the amounts of jackpots
The trial version of this slot does not feature the jackpots.
Symbols and multipliers in Dragon Margin
Dragon Margin features 13 different pictures. 11 of them will earn you regular payouts in coins once they form winning combinations. Two other pictures possess some special characteristics. One of them is the Wild symbol depicted by a dragon. This symbol will replace any regular symbol, as long as it contributes to producing a new combo.
The other special symbol is three Chinese coins. This is the bonus picture, which is called the Scatter symbol in this slot. When this picture lands on at least three first reels, a series of free spins will be triggered. They will be discussed in a separate paragraph.
Aside from free spins, these special symbols will earn you some payouts in coins. The principle of forming the winning combinations is the same as for the regular pictures. A combination of three symbols of coins will earn you five total bets per spin. Four of these pictures will let you have ten total bets, and five bonus pictures will pay 50.
The multipliers for regular symbols can change. It will depend on the size of your total bet. This is why the multiplier on the 20th bet level is 4 times higher than that on the fifth level. Below we will discuss the payouts that you will earn for the symbols landed with the lowest bet level.
Regular pictures are divided into two subgroups. The first one is the card symbols. Their multipliers are the lowest in the slot:
- Nines pay 5, 10 and 100 coins
- Tens — 5, 15 and 100
- Queens and Jacks — 10, 15 and 100
- Kings — 10, 20 and 200
- Aces — 10, 30 and 200
The other subgroup is the pictures associated with the theme of the Dragon Margin slot. Their multipliers are as follows:
- A crystal ball has the multipliers of 15, 35 and 300
- A lotus flower — 20, 50 and 300
- A fish — 30, 100 and 800
- A turtle — 35, 100 and 800
- A lion — 50, 100 and 1,000
Risk round
The risk game becomes available after any successful spin. Click on the Gamble button to play this round. This is when a face-down card and several buttons will pop up on the screen. Your objective is to guess either the suit or the colour of the card.
If you guess the colour correctly, your initial reward will be doubled. If you guessed the suit correctly, you reward will be quadrupled. If your answer is incorrect, you will lose all of your winnings.
Your time for guessing the colour or the suit will be limited. If you have run out of time and have not made any selection, the risk game will automatically come to an end. Your winnings that will be displayed in the Win section at that moment will be added to your account. If you decide to no longer take a risk, you need to click on the face-down card.
You can multiply your reward for one spin to a maximum of six times. The risk game has yet another limitation to it. Once the overall winnings reach 10,000 coins, the risk round comes to an end.
Free spins
Free spins are triggered as soon as a combination of three, four or five bonus symbols lands on the reels. Prior to launching the free spins, you have to select the type. The slot provides a total of five types of free spins.
During the free spins involving the Wild symbol the combos are paid with an increased multiplier. How many times the multiplier will be higher than the regular one will depend on the type of free spins.
The multipliers during free spins of the first type may be doubled, tripled or quintupled. For the second type of free spins the multipliers are three, five and eight; for the third type — 5, 8 and 10, for the fourth type — 8, 10 and 15 and for the fifth type — 10, 15 and 30.
The higher the multipliers, the less free spins will be launched. During the free spins the Wild symbols will differ in their colours as well. This is what you can qualify for:
- 20 free spins with a purple dragon
- 15 free spins with a red dragon
- 10 free spins with the green Wild symbol
- 8 free spins with a blue dragon
- 5 free spins with the yellow Wild symbol
The size of your bet and the number of active paylines during the free spins will remain the same as during the most recent regular spin.
The five options of free spins in Dragon Margin will be attractive for the newbies. The experienced connoisseurs have also noted the variability of the number of paylines and the bet amount.
