Rules of gameplay in Beowulf
Prior to spinning the reels you will need to set your total bet. Click on the Total Bet button to open the list of all bets available to you. This button also displays your current total bet.
Your total bet is defined by multiplying the two following values: your bet per line and the number of lines. Your bet per line is displayed in the Bet per Line window. The value changes each time you set a different total bet.
The number of paylines in Beowulf is twenty-five and it remains fixed. It means that you cannot change it throughout the entire game. Point the cursor to one of the figures to the left or the right of the reels to view how the lines run. Each figure corresponds to one of the paylines. For example, the number 5 corresponds to the fifth line.
The Win window displays the number of credits earned for the most recent winning combo. Click on the Spin button to launch one single spin. The button has a rounded arrow on it. Right below it you will find the Autoplay button. By clicking on it you will open the list with the possible number of autospins that will be carried out continuously without your involvement.
Once you select one of the numbers, you will launch the autospin mode. The reels will come to a stop after one of the following happens:
- The specified number of autospins is completed
- Your total bet is higher than the current amount of credits in your game balance
- Three or more Scatter symbols land on the reels However, your participation will be needed for the autospin mode to be triggered
Click on the Fast Play button to speed up the reels.
Click on the Paytable button to open the info menu. The menu contains the rules of the game, all of the symbols along with their multipliers, payline patterns and the description of bonuses in the Beowulf slot. Use the left and right arrows to switch windows. Click on the button with a cross to close the info window and go back to the regular spins.

A winning combo is a combination of three or more identical symbols landed on one of the paylines. Winning combos are formed left to right starting from the leftmost reel. Only the highest-paying combination on a payline will be paid.
Symbols and multipliers in Beowulf
You will encounter seventeen symbols on Beowulf's game screen. You will earn multipliers for three, four and five of the following symbols:
- An elderly gentleman with a golden cup, a young lady in purple attire – 15, 50 and 150
- A warrior in an iron mask with horns – 10, 30 and 125
- A young lady with ashy hair, a young lady clothed in a wolf's skin – 10, 25 and 100
- A, K – 5, 20 and 75
- Q, J, 10, 9 – 3, 10 and 50
- A golden horn – 20, 50 and 500
Beowulf features several Wild symbols. One of them looks like a golden horn. It replaces any other icons on the reels to form winning combos except for the bonus ones and Scatter symbols.
A picture of a green goblin triggers the slot's bonus option. This is where an additional Wild symbol comes into play.
Three or more Scatter symbols trigger the free spins mode. It features two additional Wilds.
All of the multipliers earned for successful combos are multiplied by your bet per line.
Grendel Attack bonus option
Grendel Attack bonus option is launched at random. Once it is activated on one or several positions on the fifth reel, a green goblin shows up. Each of these pictures will award you with one extra re-spin.
Grendel Attack bonus option will award you with a random number of special Wild symbols. They will only remain active during the option and will look like golden wolves. Not only do the Wild symbols replace other icons except for the Scatter and the regular Wild, they also get fixed at the start of the Grendel Attack bonus option and remain active until the re-spins are completed.
Free spins in Beowulf
The free spins mode in Beowulf is triggered by 3 or more Scatter symbols landing on the reels. The Scatter is a picture of a green dragon, a sword and a shield.
The bet that you have placed prior to launching the free spins applies during this mode as well. You will get the following multipliers for the Scatters:
- Three Scatters – three bets
- Four – ten
- Five – twenty
Free spins will continue until Free Spin Dragon Fight stops.
Free Spin Dragon Fight bonus function
The number of free spins will be determined by the outcome of the battle between Beowulf and the dragon. One point is taken off the dragon's health each time a sword symbol appears. But each icon with a dragon that lands on the game screen takes one point off of Beowulf's health.
The sword symbol will stay fixed to its position until the dragon symbol is removed or until the round of free spins is over. The sword symbol also acts as the Wild. It can replace any other icon on the game screen except for the dragon or the Scatter.
Once the dragon symbol comes up on the game screen, it removes one sword icon, if there is one present on the reels. The dragon symbol will expand to take up the entire reel where it has landed. If more than one sword icon is fixed on the reels, each consecutive icon will replace the previous one. The picture of a dragon is also a Wild symbol capable of replacing any other icon except for the Scatter or the sword.
The Free Spin Dragon Fight bonus function is over when either Beowulf's or the dragon's health is totally depleted. You will get three extra free spins if Beowulf wins the battle.
